    Does anyone else get bad anxiety the night or nights before exams? Sometimes I feel like I can’t even fall asleep! Any tips for day of or days before?

    I have been in panic mode from last 3-4 days as I am way behind my schedule. One thing that helps me regain my focus is to get a full night's sleep. When I wake up I am more relaxed and have better concentration levels. So yeah, try catching up on sleep.

    Walking, lifting heavy weights and golf balls in different combinations have helped me.

    Not encouraging this, but 5-6 days before I test I open a small bottle 1.75mL of scotch to help. It's usually about gone in 3 days, but the power of positive thinking…I didn't start until 4 days out. Good luck because managing the stress to perform well on this test is worse than my pre-game jitters for college and HS football and wrestling

    These exams are not life or death. You have to just remember there are many more important things throughout life than these tests. When you look at your life in a big picture, you'll realize how minor the exams are and it'll help you relax come exam time. Just have confidence in your abilities.

    I never slept well the night before an exam. I didn't sleep at all the night before FAR. For me the key was not trying to sleeping well…which I wrote off as unrealistic…it was dealing with it the next day.

    I did everything same as usual. I drank the same amount of coffee. I ate a little lighter, but roughly the same. I'd watch a morning show to kill time. I'd listen to music. I rode my bike to the testing center, locked up and went in.

    One thing I avoided was studying the day of an exam. Ever. I felt like that would just jumble stuff up. Generally I tried not to study much the two days before an exam.

    Once I got inside and the exam was ON…I was on. Sleep, no sleep, anxiety…whatever. The questions come up and you answer them. My only real test taking anxiety was during REG…and that's because the computer crashed multiple times during the exam…including 3x during the sims.

    thank you guys so much for your advice!!! I will take these into account – especially the sleep and including the drinks πŸ™‚ I agree though this is way worse than my anxiety before college volleyball matches or any tests. BUT yes confidence and its just a test…not life or death. Good luck to you all and congrats for those who are done – hoping to be there in a few months πŸ™‚

    I suffer from major test anxiety as well. Here are some things that helped me deal with it.

    1. eating right/exercise/getting adequate sleep every night and working out helps this
    2. two weeks of review leading up to the test, including timing myself going through sample sizes of MCQ and SIMs equivalent to the section I am taking
    3. prayer if you are a spiritual person (this one worked the most for me)

    BEC = 72 (6/08/16)
    FAR = ?
    REG = ?
    AUD = ?

    Trust all the work and sacrifices you've put into your preparation:
    – Long hours of studying
    – Sacrificing sleep
    – Telling friends you can't go out (over and over)
    (I'm sure you could go on and on)

    Don't focus on the pressure, it's an exam. At the end of the day, you're going to go in there and produce as effectively as you've prepared. Not to mention, you've taken upon this challenge because you want it and know you have what it takes to get it done.

    Best of luck.

    Bumping uglies with your partner!?! And exercising.

    My anxiety is the reason why I'm still here. It's upsetting because I know the material every time I sit for the exam.

    REG - 77 (will lose in Jan 2016)

    BEC - 67 74, 75

    AUD - 56, 70, Will try again πŸ™

    FAR - ??

    Save the beast for last.
