I have concluded that my own posts don't ever show as updating the most recent post on a thread, but others generally see them and reply to them, so I think it must be a forum bug where our own posts don't show up on the home page to ourselves. Or at least that's my thought – maybe it's just me and I just think I'm the same as everyone else. 😀

I think the forum has a lot of glitches.

1. It usually takes about an hour before a post shows that I made a comment on that post.

2. This morning, it was lagging really bad when I try to type a reply.
So I had to type my reply in Word first, and then cut and paste my reply to this forum.

@cpagal I didn't see your 2nd post till after I made my first post, and your 2nd post was made before my 1st post at least according to the order of posts that's displaying for me now. Also, I'd looked then to see what your last prior post was, according to what showed under your profile, and at the time it showed the post in the brainscape/flashcards thread that you'd posted in yesterday as your most recent post prior to this thread. Now it shows 3 others between then and when I'd looked earlier. So, there's definitely something going on. 😐 Now I'm curious when you'll see my post – it's 5:34 pm Eastern on 5-17-16 when I'm posting, wonder when it will first show up for anyone? Cause I'd thought it was just me thinking that my posts didn't show, but seeing it happen for sure with someone else, now I think maybe mine really don't show up for a bit…

So…today my posts are showing up promptly it would seem, and cpagal's and moniker's 6pm Eastern posts are showing up as around 6pm as of 6:30. Maybe the forum just gets “slow”/overloaded sometimes and lags behind, then once it catches up it works fine again?

I've been wondering when the forum upgrade was going to be after the thread where you'd asked people's preferences about the downtime…and had been debating whether to post a thread asking about it (if you had an estimated time for the roll-out etc.), but had decided not to be a bother lol. Glad to hear another reference to the change and know it's still in the works!

It's had issues – but looks positive. The key was to take 500k posts from an antiquated software and plug them into new software. One of these days you'll wake up to a new forum, but recent posts will be missing, which I'm going to manually have to put back.
