Taking REG this Monday, need some final tips

    I took REG last quarter. Here's my advice:

    Know basis rules like the back of your hand. Know all the differences between entities. Don't take biz law and ethics lightly, it's still about 20-25% of the exam. Don't worry about memorizing exemption/phase out numbers – just know that there are exemptions/phase outs.

    I realize that's a quick summary of a lot of information, but if you're relatively comfortable with all these things, you're probably going to be ok.

    I agree with Zach. I took REG last quarter and I used flashcards to review business law in the car right before I went in and it helped me remember a lot of things I probably wouldn't have.

    Prepare for sims. Mcqs will be manageable. Sims can pop up from anywhere.

    Review the AICPA SIM list/topics. I didn't and was surprised by some of the SIM material on the actual exam
