Does anyone not really study that much as the test date approaches (2-3 days)? I try and study, but its usually so unproductive and filled with anxiety and jumping from topic to topic.

I would stop doing MCQs and just focus on reviewing notes or bolded words and mnemonics in the book.
Let the mind rest a bit.

Ha, I have no notes to review :(, and this is my third section in Wiley and not one mnemonic in sight….actually i think there were 3 in FAR, 2 for the principals and assumptions and one to remember the governmental funds. I guess I will continue in my everlasting quest of frantically jumping from topic to topic, moving onto the next before I even found what I looking for on the first.

I cram every second up until my exam day and even day of I review notes and potentially crank out some MCQs. But that’s just me. I don’t spend as many weeks studying as most people so the cramming is key for me.

I did what recked did…I spent the last day or two calmly reviewing notes and, maybe, spending some time with flash cards on things that invariably never came up. By those last 2 days I had drilled the MCQ, drilled SIMs, and felt pretty prepared (maybe other than BEC, which I did not study as hard for).

A week prior to exam I take off work and study notes, watch videos and answer questions about 8 hours a day. Prior to taking test on Monday, study 12 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday – hopefully some day it will result in a pass

The only thing I really do the day before the exam is do the AICPA practice test. That way I get a bit of practice with the AL and working through questions in the same format as the actual test. I will also read back through my notes once or twice. I've done this with all 3 I've passed so far this year, and it seems to be working for me.

For FAR & AUD, I studied minimally the last week before the exam and I passed. I'd recommend you concentrate on very summarized high level, big picture items about 5 days prior until test day. Don't put too many hours in and this would be an important time to try to de-stress. Eat well, exercise; do whatever de-stresses you. It's very natural for your subconscious to freak out and cause unnecessary anxiety and stress which are examination killers. Don't let your brain screw you over and rest it a bit. Now let's say your NTS is expiring and you are against the ropes and haven't given yourself adequate study time; in that case you have no option but to CRAM CRAM CRAM up until test day.
