Hey all! For those who have taken both BEC and REG, which one takes longer to study for? I took 7 weeks for BEC (really should have been 6, that last week was not essential). How long do you figure I need for REG, roughly the same?

P.S. – If the CPA gods are reading this, I am not being cocky or overconfident about BEC. I’m still a nervous wreck, anxiously awaiting May 23 to hopefully get a passing score. 🙂

I'd say probably an additional week or 2 being that theres 2 additional chapters. Also, some of the tax concepts are hard to nail on the first go through and may require some extra review time at the end. I haven't taken REG yet, just began my review to sit for it in 2 weeks. I do find it more challenging and time consuming than BEC though.

    AUD: 98
    REG: 91
    BEC: 86
    FAR: 83

DONE DONE DONE and DONE all on the first try! It IS possible, just keep on studying!

At least 6 weeks if you are diligent.

    It begins with a 75

I passed BEC with 5 weeks of studying, I can definitely tell I wouldn't be able to pull that off with REG. By my exam date, I'll have studied 9 weeks for REG. It is just more material and tougher IMO.

    FAR - 80
    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

REG is an ANIMAL! BEC is nothing compared to REG (in my opinion). I'd say take the amount of time you took for BEC and double it, maybe triple it for REG.

    B - 81
    A - 87
    R - 73
    F - July 5th

I would say x2 bec = reg in terms of study time unless you have tax background

Materials: Wiley book + Ninja MCQ

    FAR - 83 (Jan 2016)
    Study time: 6 weeks
    BEC - 87 (April 2016)
    Study time: 2 weeks
    AUD - 92 (July 2016), (74 Feb 2016), (72 May 2016)
    Study time: 4 (Feb) + 2 (May) + 3 (July) = 9 weeks total
    REG - (70 April 2016)
    Study time: 3 weeks
