So, I was plunged into studying for AUD literally the day after I took the FAR exam. My NTS was about to expire, so I had less than a month to get ready for AUD. I had a good study regime going until my Fall semester Master’s Program started again. I had to delay studying for a few days to deal with homework. I powered through my last 3 sections of Roger CPA in just a few days. Despite all of that, I felt that I had a pretty tight grasp on the material.
Exam day experience:
First testlet was good. I flagged maybe 3 questions for review, but I was able to chip away at bad answers on those and get it down to two choices. Second teslet, there was still some recognizable material, but there were also very pointed questions that simulated actual situations. I flagged maybe 5-6 questions here. Then came the third testlet. There were probably around 10 questions that completely looked foreign to me. The others in the set were also really tough, but I was able to use elimination to get those ones down to two decent choices. So, I am not thinking that testlet #3 went well at all.
Sims were ok. I’m glad I had just finished up with FAR because I definitely needed that knowledge for a few of the questions. The research also went really good. **Tip Don’t waste your time looking through all the material in the AL, learn how to search with double quotes.** There were two of the questions that I felt so-so on. And one that looked extremely foreign to me as well.
I’m sure there are others who’ve had this experience. So, I’d like to hear from you all. How did you end out doing? I am feeling like I scored somewhere in the range of 70-75. But you never know. I felt like I was +/- 1 point from passing on FAR, and I ended out with a 82. Fingers crossed, salt thrown over the shoulder, and rabbit’s foot out in anticipation for score release on the 20th.
