Staffing Agency advice

Hi, I was working through a staffing agency (my first job after college) because I just wanted to get some experience. I received an interview opportunity from 2 CPA top 10 accounting firms for entry level auditor for Fall 2016. Do I have to reveal my salary to them because I know it’s way below market rate in the bay Area ($20/hour; I know because the staffing agency took their cut),

    Any advice?

Thanks! I would really appreciate any help

No you definitely don't have to but they may be pushy about it. Tell them you're sure their offer if it comes to one will be competitive, tell them you appreciate there's more to compensation than salary, basically find a way to politely deflect the question.

I just wanted to add that most of the firms I interviewed with didn't bring up my current compensation and when I got offers, they didn't focus on what I was making but what my target salary was. There is really no negotiation at the entry-level. You will be around 58-60k range.

Thank you for replying, mla11692 and MaLoTu! I'll feel better now while interviewing, that question was kind of haunting be in the back of my mind for the past few days.
