    Hello all,

I am a first time poster but have always been intrigued by this forum. Nonetheless, I am in serious need of some advice.

I have passed FAR (1st attempt), REG (1st attempt), and BEC (1st attempt). AUD on the other hand, I have attempted 4 times resulting in 66, 68, 73, and most recently a 74!!!! I was absolutely crushed by receiving a 74. Leaving the testing site, I felt ecstatic and didn’t doubt myself the slightest.

I use RogerCPA review and have LOTS of written notes. I do questions and sims.. both Roger and an App on my phone.

What I am trying to ask is how did you ladies and gentleman prepare for Audit????

Thank you very much for your input and happy studying!

Seems like you scored weaker in simulations? What was your result in sims in first 3 attempts?

    FAR 79
    AUD 87
    BEC 78
    REG 08/31/2016

ninja book and mcq's align perfectly. start at the beginning to the end. read a section, do the mcq's. rinse repeat. hit the review phase. do all the sims. read the standards to strengthen weak areas and to prepare for sims. you have to know how they are structured, what standards exist and how the stage you are in an audit determines what procedures have to be applied. also, know journal entries for adjusting entries.
you can do this. good luck!

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!

I use Becker, and then also purchased Ninja audio for AUD. Loved Ninja audio for AUD. I would listen to it every day during my commute. I think it's what helped me to pass AUD, and on my first try. BEC is another story, I'm preparing to take it again. Going to get the Ninja audio for BEC and see if that helps.

    BEC (8/25/15) 72
    AUD (10/27/15) 80
    FAR (Jan. 2016)
    REG (TBA)

You seem to grasp the concepts based on the scores, just missed one too many. I know it's frustrating but damn buddy, you are freaking close.

I passed AUD first try and what helped me is understanding what the question is asking for. Most of the questions have more than one answer based on how you read them, so read them carefully. Is it asking about existence? Valuation? Control issue unrelated to assertions?

    FAR 84 (AUG '15)
    BEC 83 (AUG '15)
    AUD 79 (OCT '15)
    REG 71, 78! (NOV '15, FEB '16)

I bought Ninja MCQ after a 73 fail with Roger (though I admitedly did not prepare as hard as I should have) I received low scores when I first started with Ninja but I've slowly been improving my scores on the MCQ. Just recently got my first 90 on a MCQ testlet. I feel it's a good supplement to Roger material. We'll see how much good it does me at the end of the month when I take AUD again.

    BEC - 78 (August 2015)
    FAR - 80 (November 2015)
AUD - 73, 67. (Ok I gotta confess I was even more lazy this time around)
    REG - August 27th, 2016

You are so close! You can do it. In my opinion, AUD was the most difficult! In the end the only thing that helped me to pass was doing a ton of MCQ. The way they ask the questions can be so tricky, and I found often that the questions really did have 2 mostly correct answers, but one was more correct. The more questions I did, the more I started to understand what they were really looking for. Good luck and hang in there!

If you can get a 73 and 74 in a straight. You could get a 75 next time. Does this sound like a joke? Anyway, do more MCQ and you will pass!

    AUD 7/3
    BCE 81
    REG 7/15
    FAR 8/18
