Can someone with high scores bluntly put what material they used to study for each section and just quickly sum up what worked for them? I am looking to study at night by myself for the least amount of money and I am relatively competent so I don’t need any hand holding.

    Thank you for your help.

Wow. That was almost word for word what I was thinking when I started studying.

I studied for all 4 sections exclusively using Ninja Notes, MCQ and Audio. I still would have passed handily without the audio.

I copied the Ninja notes to a notebook, then copied them a second time to another notebook. I did MCQs as I had time until I finished the notes. Every time I got an MCQ wrong I took notes on why I got it wrong.

After the notes were finished, I did tons of MCQS, again taking notes on ones I got wrong. I mixed in Sims between sets of MCQs for variety during this phase.

Thank you. There is just a ton of fluff out there and sorting through it is to the point of almost lunacy. So it sounds like all you need is Ninja notes and MCQ? I am going to either take all 4 at the same time or do it 2 and 2. How many hours of studying would you say you put in?

Thank you for the quick reply.

You can pass with nothing but Ninja Notes and MCQ – especially if you don't need your hand held.

According to a spreadsheet I kept of my study sessions, I put in:

    FAR – 140 hours over 8 weeks.
    AUD – 90 hours over 7 weeks.
    BEC – 77 hours over 5 weeks.
    REG – 96 hours over 7 weeks.

I set up my exams to do them in 2 windows, one at the beginning and end of consecutive windows.

Perfect. That is exactly what I needed. How was the transition to Accounting once you completed the exam? I should have the work experience completed but I believe I will have to go through VA to get covered as my boss doesn't have an active license.

Also, how prevalent is the student loan payments in the industry? I don't have any loans but I was thinking about taking them out for free capital if firms will pay it off….. I am non-degree seeking student so they would have to be done privately.

    Thanks again for your help.

I was already working in gov't accounting by the time I started sitting for the exam, so about a week after getting my final score I was able to get my boss to sign off on the experience requirement in my state. I'm expecting my license to go through any day now.

Can't help you on the second question.
