Does anyone know when they usually update the AICPA website with Q3/Q4 score release time tables (2016)? I wanna take my exam July 16 and I am curious as to when I will be getting my score…

I can't say for sure but the 2015 Q3/Q4 release dates were posted June 10, 2015, so probably sometime next week we'll be seeing the 2016 Q3/Q4 release dates.

Golfball, I know but I was hoping to see a change. Maybe they felt bad making us wait so long and cut the score release time :/ lol

If you take your exam before July 20, I am 99% sure you will get your score the first week of August. And from there I think they do bi-weekly cutoffs and score releases, I think. Look at last year's schedule, it'll be about the same.

@CPA2BEE im also ramping up to take REG again in july, i think thats what you meant instead of saying august.? What was your exam experience like when you got the 74? I pretty much failed due to both a lack of studying on ind/prop taxes and mentally psyching my self out during the exam

@itsanaccrualworld – Yes, I meant July. When I got my 74, I didn't feel great about the exam but I didn't feel like I did that poorly either. I studied quite a bit and felt prepared, but I sensed myself getting tripped up in some areas of the exam where I knew I shouldn't have. One thing I am a firm believer in, even though everyone tells you its subjective and not to think about it, is that if your testlets are getting harder then that is a great sign. That did not happen on my REG exam – I thought all the MCQs seemed easy. I believe in this theory because the only times I've passed are when my testlets get seriously, noticeably harder. So it holds true to me. It was a lot like my first AUD exam, I didn't think the exam was very difficult, which is a bad sign. I'm convinced you need to see at least one testlet spike up in difficulty to have a shot.

I too believe that theory, as much as it is subjective. I will say the questions that had multiple layers of thought processes and wording triggers that were necessary to comprehend let me know (or believe) that was a more difficult testlet. I had to go back and dig into a few i flagged which felt like i was on 1 question for 5+ minutes! Sneaky little buggahz

From what I've read on this forum, and I've spent my share of time on here lol, most of the people who pass that don't notice the testlets changing difficulty often are the people scoring in the high 80s and 90s. Many of the others who don't notice a change end up with failing scores (myself included). I think it is the more borderline testers like, based off our signatures, you and myself that really pick this up. I can only vouch for the exams I've taken, but my experience has proven it to be true. All 3 fails – definitely no change in difficulty. On my AUD and FAR retake, both of the second testlets blew me out of the water along with the SIMS. BEC the third testlet was much harder and the WCs were whatever. So my experience and perception really makes me believe this.

Believe me i feel like im on this thing more than i am working haha I dont know what it is, maybe too many college black outs but i cant seem for the life of me to just crush one of these exams. Always on the cusp no matter how much blood sweat and tears im putting into the studying. Hopefully when i get my BEC score back ill have broken the low score spell.

I can say that I didn't notice the testlets changing difficulty whatsoever and I passed FAR…

After I got my first pass I decided to just put aside all this “noise” about the right way to do something, the wrong way, what other people did good/bad etc. Find a method that works for you and stick to it.

    We got this 🙂
