    Hi guys,

So I took FAR on 2/29 and found out I failed about a week later. Given my score and fact that the material is still relatively fresh in my head, I decided to reschedule for a re-take as soon as possible (4/2). However, the end of my NTS window for BEC is on 4/29.

I’ve been told that there are some overlap between FAR and BEC. My plan of attack is to review FAR and work on mostly my timing and weak MCQ topics (ran out of time for the simulations, scored stronger in all areas of MCQ except framework/specific transactions), and also review topics that overlap between FAR and BEC in order to prepare myself for BEC. As it stands, I have 2 and a half weeks to cover the entire BEC section. I work full time so I’m very pressed on time, but I was hoping to get some feedback/thoughts from you guys regarding how I should go about this.

Any insight, suggestions or advice on how I should try to tackle these two sections in a short time span is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Attack FAR topic by topic. Just review your own notes (previously written/typed) then hit as many MCQs as you can per topic. NINJA MCQs would be a best material for you since you’re just like re-reviewing this time. Do it via customized session (select from ‘New Questions’) until you see all questions. Make sure you write notes again from new learnings you are gaining in this window. After seeing all questions, go back to missed/troubled questions then do the adaptive learning. One of the best ways to gauge that a candidate is ready to sit is if he scores a 70 or higher on a set or pair of final practice tests, that’s at least to me.

You were so close. You can get it next window. Good luck!

@Amor Thanks! I purchased the Ninja MCQ package today but I'm just going through all the material to review. Would you recommend going over all the chapters from Becker or just direct my focus on weaker areas?

FAR has 10 chapters. If you can go through them in 10 days, go ahead do that. Just answer all HWs from Becker topic by topic again in conjunction with NINJA MCQs. One of the best features of NINJA MCQs is that it shows you the answer right after each question plus the explanation and the references. That's the same format with Becker's HWs, not their progress tests. Becker explains each answer/solution well, but you have to finish each session with progress tests before you can figure out what's correct and not correct.

Go back to the lectures for your weaker areas. Compartmentalize your notes by concepts and calculations/JEs.
