I have been doing some SIMs practice and some times it is showing my answer as wrong due to ridicules logic or approximation.I had a value 4818.6345 and I typed 4819 but displayed the journal text as correct but value as wrong.Limitations of automation.
Similarly I typed 2 accounts ( bot credit ) but order of the accounts were different than the Becker and marked wrong.
Can some experts give their experience opinion on approximation in context of actual exam (test by automation )?

the hubs asked me about this just a day ago. on the exam it'll be super simple and will direct you on how to present the numbers. I was nervous about this too because in Becker I'll get answers wrong by rounding up or down when totaling multiple numbers. Thankfully on the test it was a non-issue. Order also won't matter, as long as you have the right account.

The SP will dock you for order, the sims shouldn't (all this in Becker). But for test neither will be a problem.

OOH let me give you my take –

Yes I'm getting the same thing wrong for the Becker Sims, it's only a fault with Becker itself.

FAR was my first test I took February 2017 (before the change if that impacts anything), and I was under the impression that all Sims would be computer graded first then reviewed by a person. So instead of actually rounding each answer from my calculations and inputting it, I put all of my actual calculations (the formula of it) in the box and let it cut the digits off if they would automatically.
That was my first test, I was nervous as hell, and somehow I got 98 on that. And subsequently learned that its not reviewed by a person.

Either way, don't stress it on the exams, they won't cut you off for being more precise (unless it specifically says round to a whole number or something and your actual answer doesn't end up as a whole number). Becker's software is just faulty.

SAME goes for order of which debit or credit you put, because I KNOW some of mine on FAR were out of order from how becker would have displayed them, it was still all good.
