Not sure what this is, but it isn’t accounting, and isn’t related to anything I’ll ever do or use in my career. My plate isn’t full enough already, so I’m totally excited about learning a ton of legalese and rules! Yay! 🙂

This is exactly how I feel about BEC

-Insert Kim K ugly crying face-

    AUD - 72, 81
    FAR - 71, 78
    REG - 60, 78
    BEC - 60, 71, 71

IF I FALL, I WILL GET BACK UP. IF I AM BEATEN, I WILL RETURN.

Sort of like why learning Calculus is important; critical thinking. Scientists who take up drama classes are better at communicating, and actors who take up higher math classes are good at critical thinking.

Take for example a trivia night with friends and one of the question says “‘how much money does the average person spend on pet food each year?”

    A guy answered, “I don't know, $10,000.” Just think about this for a moment, that's almost $30 a day.

See where I am getting at? Although it seems pointless to study BEC or what have you, it really isn't.

    FAR 84 (AUG '15)
    BEC 83 (AUG '15)
    AUD 79 (OCT '15)
    REG 71, 78! (NOV '15, FEB '16)

I agree with Last Coffee. When we try to give even basic accounting work to non-accountants it's obvious that they don't appproach or process problems the same way someone with accounting training does.

At any rate when my frustration level boils over (you really want to test me on what happens when 17 people sign the back of a check) that I just jump through the hoop. Because you know what, 9 out of 10 people can't or aren't willing to do that.

It's amazing. Do some people really think for-profit business (BEC) and how to do it legally (REG) have nothing to do with accounting?
