Dear all,

I will enter Reg exam for 3rd time at Q1 2017.

1- Please advise new updates in the exam will apply in Q1 2017 window?

2- Can I study from Becker 2013 Regulation book or there is a big difference ?

1) The changes start Q2 or April
2) The material isn't changing, just the format of the exam.

To answer #2:

If you're going to use an out-dated text book (2013), I would at least do some research on the tax changes (i.e. the exemption amount, percentages, etc.). The tax code is updated each year, and the material on the exam changes with it.

I would think that using outdated information for REG would be the hardest to do out of the 4 exams. Tax law is always changing. I would try to get your hands on more up to date material
