What is adequate time to study for REG and BEC? I’m scheduled for AUD in Jan, still in grad school till Dec and work full-time so i didnt ant to push it, but once i’m out of school i’m hoping it’ll be easier to find the time plus those sections are not as big as FAR.. Is 5 weeks for each doable? I’m super eager to get this done so i can move to different state and i guess i’m kind of scared to go before i have all 4 sections before starting to look for a job in the new place (what if i cant find anything..)… ugh.. sorry guys.. lots of worries here!

Hi I say it just depends on the amount of time you are willing and able to spend studying for the exam. I studied for just under 4 weeks for REG and right at 5 weeks for BEC while working full-time during busy season and going to grad school. For me, the sacrifice was worth it to get the exams out of the way.
    – I think you'll find the amount of material in both is very manageable in comparison to FAR.

@Chandler you're a genius! I got a kid to take care of on top of that but schoolis out of the way come Dec 15 thats why i'm banking on so much extra time after that.. How's TX job market btw? I was thinking about moving to Dallas, I'm currently in Honolulu and $$$ living here is ridiculous.. Just worried about getting a job beforehand.

@Painted_Jeans, thank you! I respect you- I know factually taking the exams would be 100% harder with children.
    – And job market in Texas is great right now. I work in Lubbock (medium size city- about 250k), and the COL is very, very low. I think the median house price here is about $130k. I have several friends working in Dallas- COL is higher there but should be nothing compared to Honolulu. All over though, I don’t know that there has been a better job market in Texas in a long time.

@Chandler I'm debating between Dallas and Charlotte NC.. I lived in NC for few years, have friends there and COL is lower than Dallas but pay is too.. Also spent some time in San Antonio in the summer and it was hotttt hahaha but Honolulu is hot 12 months in a year, i dont think i'll have a big issue with heat with AC which i dont even have here (go figure why they dont think that it;s necessary in constant heat 85-90 and over 70% humidity at all times)
