For all those testing REG this weekend. How prepared do you feel to pass the test? How much time are you planning to allot for MCQs and SIMS?

Im also just few days away from my REG exam. I would say im focusing on the details in order to give me a better chance with SIMS, and hopefully it will carry over to MCQs as well.

i test on 5/31. Im reviewing R1-R8 on becker. One Section per day, reviewing and refreshing all the concepts. Pounding away the Becker and Wiley TB MCQ. I Plan to look over SIMs but splitting my time 70/30 or 80/20 on MCQ vs Sims. Knowing the concept well, will help for the SIMS. Hopefully the DRS TBS to.

Test on 5/22 and tomorrow begins my 3-day marathon review. Going to hit the topics I still have some iffy moments with, really tackle the blaw since I followed Olinto's advice (ignored it till I got comfortable with tax), and just spend some time flipping through flashcards to refresh memories. I've really spent the past two weeks nailing down taxation, all the basis problems that were killing me, like kind exchanges, distributions and little nuances within the different entities. I do also want to spend more time with corporate AMT so I won't cry if I get it in a SIM. And it goes without saying, MCQs and SIMs till my eyes bleed. I'm fairly sure by the time I leave my exam Monday afternoon I won't want to look at REG ever again. It will totally suck monkeyballs if I have to wait till August just to find out I failed and have to start all over again. I'm hitting in the 80s on Ninja and 90s on becker in taxation, have dragged my blaw up to the upper 60s, 70s in Becker trending so need to finish working on that. I really wish I felt prepared but I don't. Becker seems just far too simple. Their scenarios are so straight forward and basic.

    Test on 5/31.

I'm wrapping up the last MCQs (have literally done every single one).

I am going to take another practice test and do a few SIMS this weekend.

Then I will be reviewing my notes and skimming through the summary questions in NINJA notes.

If I come across anything that's still a little fuzzy, I'll focus on those areas, but all in all with a week and a half left, I'm feeling pretty good.

    Hi guys,

I have my test tomorrow afternoon. Right now, besides working (UGH!), I am reading thru my notes. I don’t feel confident at all, but I know I’ve put my time on studying and doing tons of MCQs and SIMS. Yesterday I did half of Becker’s final review multiple choice questions and averaged 89%. Today I am going to finish those and do some simulations if I have time. I am averaging 80% on MCQs and 75% on SIMs on Becker.
I also took Becker’s 2 final exams, but I didreally bad on those, 65% and 67%. I don’t understand. Has any of you taken Becker’s final exams? And if so how did you do compared to MCQs and SIMS after each chapter?
I will post tomorrow after I take my test.
