So I am just getting started with studying for REG, hoping to make this May exam my very last. I’m pretty active on this forum and am always hearing all about how difficult the REG SIMS are. For my first 3 exams, I was able to study mainly by reading, taking notes, and doing tons of MCQs. I really don’t pay much attention to the SIMS while studying and, so far, have been able to get by without needing to practice the SIMS and just hammering out MCQs.
For those who have successfully passed REG – would you say it is essential to practice the SIMS in your study materials, or do you think you can learn what you need to know to pass the exam without much practice with the SIMS? For the record, I always practice SOME SIMS, but never put a ton of time into them like I do with MCQs and reading. Your words are appreciated!
