I just took the reg exam and the sims were absolutely brutal.

I was running out of time and just filled in zeros for two of them (I think one was pretest)

Here is the worst part:

I am usually pretty good with the research, yet with the reg research I just could not find the answer as my search criteria only returned three pages, yet when I got home I checked the Becker authoritative literature and I found it right away.

I was so frustrated.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Also has anyone thought they really bombed the reg sims but still passed.

@OP i think everyone who passes thinks they bombed the sims. Hang in there. Score release gets closer everyday!

I did use the search within, yet unfortunately I was in the wrong page altogether.
The disconnect between Becker and the actual exam is a little concerning.

@CPAquestion, I know exactly what you're saying, I had a very similar experience.

I felt exactly the same. In all the review problems, i was able to find the research solutions pretty easily but the actual exam i couldnt for the life of me find it, so ended up leaving it blank. All my simulations were super tough, mostly all fill in the blanks. The waiting is killing me but i too felt i bombed all the simulations, even though going in, i felt quite ready. I was trending 80-100% on all the review stuff. Does anyone else think the review problems seem to be straightforward and exam questions not so much?

I took the REG portion today also and it was brutal. I had the same experience with the research question. I knew what the answer was but could not find it sited in the IRC to answer the question. Quite a bit of the material in the REG section was just given a glance with 1 or 2 questions but a handful of areas were emphasized down to the specifics. If those SIMS are any indication of what is to come, I need to get finished with this journey THIS year! I also used up all my time and felt rushed to the end when I saw the clock ticking and I still had 2 more SIMS to do.

Can anyone comment on how the becker sims compared to the sims on the reg test? When I did audit, I felt the becker sims were comparable, but I've heard mixed reviews on reg, can anyone comment?

I took REG last week and had the same exact experience. I was scoring 80-90s on Becker but when I got to the sims on the exam it was almost as if I had never studied. 3 sims were so specific that there was no amount of studying that could prepare you for them. The research question was nowhere to be found so after 20+ minutes I manually went into the IRC and found it (still don't think it was correct). MC were similar to becker but the sims absolutely killed me. Hoping for a miracle.

@jlp0369, that research question made me want to punch someone. Though relieved that it wasn't just me.
I am thinking that was a pretest, but did find it when searching at home. Puzzling!
