REG Retake

I mean I was not fully disappointed when I saw the score, I only studied 5 ½ weeks for REG immediately after finishing up studying for my AUD retake that I ended up passing.

I need a game plan for a retake, I know my weaknesses were mainly in Ch 3 Corp taxation, basis of property transaction (Ch 3), probably BLAW, and Ch 1 & 2 little minute things. Partnerships were my strength I believe. I used NINJA Audio and Becker the first time.

Any suggestions for a retake and time table? Please and thank you.

    BEC – 77
    AUD – 70, 75
    REG – 73
    FAR – TBD

I initially had a 74 on REG. I spent about 5 weeks I think on studying for the retake. I did a lot of SIMs to prepare for the retake, because SIMs require a greater understanding of the material. As opposed to being able to select from 4 answer choices. I also put a lot of emphasis on knowing where information was located in the IRC to help with SIMs. I passed on the second attempt.

    Hope this helps some.

@ AndrewE I took REG and studied for 5 weeks. I did the 8 Becker chapters (lectures, questions and SIMS) the first three weeks, then focused on Ninja MCQ's instead of reworking the becker questions I had already done in my 2 review weeks. I probably did 200 MCQ's and 5 sims a day in the two weeks leading up to the test. I took three days of PTO at the end, the two days before the test and the day of the test (tested on a friday), and worked 500 multiple choice questions per day and did one practice test per day in the two days leading up to my test. On the day of my test, I woke up at 3:30am (test at 9am) and reread my notes and all of my highlighted sections in my Becker textbook. That may not be the most effective way of studying for everyone but that is what I changed to after getting three 74's not using NINJA. I only work 50ish hours a week (when i'm not in busy season or traveling for work) so I tried to use my time as wisely as I could. That's a rough outline of my study method.

    BEC - 91 (2/29/16)
    AUD- 74, 74

@knight rider what did you end up scoring? I think I need to focus more on sim work too. It is “easier” to pick out of 4 answers on mcq as opposed to sims.

@cwlanders I essentially did the same thing for my AUD retake, I would go through the Becker mcq’s take then take a progress test and then work my way to Ninja mcqs. I did that for each chapter for about almost 4 weeks and passed. I did not take a practice test though and I did not really work sims again, which wasn’t the smartest.

I do like your plan, I ultimately will probably have to supplement with Ninja MCQ again. I know I really just have to get better with working sims.

I hit my review phase for this test only 10 days before this test.
