    I’ve failed Reg 3 times already and now have one more shot before my Far expires. I started studying again yesterday using NINJA Book and MCQ. I’m shooting to schedule my exam toward the end of April. Is that too much time? I already have a strong base of knowledge with the material being I’ve taken the test 3 times, but don’t wanna rush taking it again since it’s my last shot. Any thoughts?

    Yes, i started using the NINJA MCQ yesterday. I just don't know if 2 and a half months is too much time to study for a test I've already taken 3 times.

    How close was your score? If you aren't busy during the day then yes it's probably too much time.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

    I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

    is this your last exam? To keep you focused and really hitting the material, maybe you need to switch it up unless you've been underprepared in the past? I'd probably recommend Roger Cram for REG. Get it and go through the whole thing and supplement it with Ninja MCQs. There must be topics you're missing or think you understand but then come test day, you forget. Maybe it would just help to have some different material?

    I don't think you should be asking “is 2.5 months too much time if I've failed 3 times before.” it isn't a matter of how much time but the quality of time. You passed FAR so you can obviously do this, just wondering what is going to push you over the edge to get that 75 🙂

    @jm962011 yes, this is my last exam. And i was also considering getting the Rogers Cram for the last few weeks leading up to the exam. I've relied completely on Becker for my last 3 attempts, so i obvioulsy need something different which is why i switched to NINJA.

    It took me 3 tries to pass AUD with Becker. Then I failed FAR two times with Becker. My software expired so I got Roger and passed FAR, BEC, and REG with my first try using Roger.

    I think its $200+ for a cram but if you don't pass REG this 4th time and lose FAR, you'll be out $200+ for two new NTS, correct?

    If this is your last exam I'd stretch it out as long as possible before FAR expires. Give yourself ample time to really hit everything. I would think it would be better to study too long than to not study long enough and end up being under prepared. Start from scratch if you think it would be worth it.

    FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16

    You are now the 4th person who's recommended the Rogers Cram, so i think i'm going to buy it. I appreciate the help!

    FWIW, I failed REG with a 72 on November 25, 2015. I found my score out Dec 10, and rescheduled for Jan 5. So I basically studied for 3 weeks. Nothing but Ninja MCQ. Ended with an 80.

    BEC - 77 (5/16)
    AUD - TBD (8/16)
    REG - 80 (1/16)
    FAR - 76 (8/15)

    I keep reading how Becker sucks for REG. What is the big issue with Becker and Reg? They don't cover enough material or they are just bad at teaching it? I know Peter Olinto was great for Business Law, and I rather have him teach me Law than Roger. Could it be that Tim just sucks at teaching taxes?

    FAR= 72-84
    Audit= 73-82
    BEC= 74-75
    Reg=77

    For whatever reason, Becker just didn't do it for me with Reg. I passed the 3 other sections using Becker, though.

    agreed with jm962011, Roger really good at teaching REG and AUD.

    REG - 80 (02/13/2015) Roger + Ninja Flash Card + Ninja MCQ + Becker's Note
    FAR - 84 (05/29/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Some Wiley book questions
    BEC - 77 (08/27/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions
    AUD - 87 (08/28/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions

    in response to OP's question- wayyyyy tooo much time. take it sooner.

    judging from your past results its not the quantity of your studying that's lacking, but rather the quality. and by pushing the test so far back you are again only addressing the quantity side of the equation. plz address the quality side- whether its focusing techniques, test taking anxiety, other review products as people above have suggested (NINJA MCQ is great for REG)

    Since you've recently taken Reg, I would go for the beginning of April instead of the end. Too much time will cause you to forget as well as not enough time.

    @ all other ninjas; (those that used the cram) What does roger cram cover? is it comprehensive enough to skip lectures and stuff?

    It begins with a 75
