Hello … please help, For those familiar with the CPA EXAM

Do I use the Authoritative literature to answer all SIM question or only the Research question

For example and am doing a sim question where I have to identify if items are deductible or not from AGI and as a tip I have IRC Section number as a reference next to every question does that mean I have to visit that section.

Also what the easiest number to visit a specific section say 408 shall I use the drop down menu to look it up ?

    Many thanks

Technically you are only supposed to use the AL for the research question, but you could totally use AL to answer the question, even though it's extremely time consuming. What do you mean you have an IRC number as a tip next to every question? I didn't see any tips in my CPA exam:) LOL! I wish!

Thanks yeah was also wondering that it's really time consuming to use AL for every question

About the tip, for example question asking whether Roth IRA is deductible from AGI then next to it is the tip IRC Section 408A which is about Roth IRA so was wondering if for every question I will need to refer to specific section in the AL
