Hi Everyone. I’m new to this forum and to the CPA exam in general. I’m curious on some different points of view. I’m thinking that after spending so much time studying for one exam a lot of that material should hopefully be engrained in your head, at least on the short term. So, once you sit for an exam is it wise to immediately begin studying for the next subject knowing that if you failed the first exam it may be in your best interest to re-take that since the material is still somewhat fresh? I don’t want to waste that time in limbo while waiting for an exam score so I’m trying to find the best studying strategy during that timeframe.

it all depends on the time frame.
if you feel there is any chance you passed I would move along to the next section.
If you find out you failed you need to re-evaluate.
if you're more than 50% through your next section I would continue on and then revisit the failed section.
If you're less than 50% through the next topic perhaps set it aside and go back to the first?

ReckedRacing – Thank you for the reply. It makes a lot of sense. I think I may utilize that method.
