Hey everyone, I’m pretty new here, but would love some help on understanding how to apply for my next exams or if I need to re-apply for any failed exams.

I take my AUD exam 7/06/16, but still have my NTS until November. If I fail this go around, can I go online and just re-schedule the exam and take it again in July? Or do I need to re-apply and get a new NTS to take it again?

I only scheduled two exams on my first NTS for the 6 months, since I didn’t know my schedule for this year with work, life, etc. I figured out I can take BEC no problem by September (yay extended testing window!), but it is not on my current NTS. Do I need to follow the same steps as the first go around when applying to take my next two exams? Or is the applying process different since I’ve already applied and sent in my materials (transcripts) previously? Will this mess up my current NTS? If it helps, I’m in Arizona.

If you're taking AUD 7/6/16 – as in July 6th, no you will not be able to re-take in again in July you can only take a section one per quarter so the earliest you can re-take AUD would be Oct.

When retaking exams go on cpacentral,.. through the same steps the first time and submit a reapplication for the exam you are retaking and NASBA will issue you a new NTS for that section. (Any sections that you may have a Valid NTS for will not be able to be selected anyway

FAR - 2/16 - 78
BEC - 2/16 - 78
AUD - 8/16
REG - 8/16

In addition to what kfalicity said, the NTS for AUD is only good for one time to take it. So, even though you'd be able to take AUD again in October, you won't be able to re-use the same NTS to take it again, you'll have to get a new one.

You can apply for BEC without messing up your current AUD NTS. It was smart of you to wait and just apply for 2 to start with. 🙂 But now that you're ready for more, go ahead and get the NTS for BEC. Usually there's a different form used for getting additional tests. Looks like you can get it from here: https://www.azaccountancy.gov/Exam/ReexamApplication.aspx#Q2 and its direct link is: https://asboastorage.blob.core.windows.net/documents/EXAM%20-%20RE-EXAM%20AP%20-%202009%20-%20fillable.pdf From what I can tell, that's what you'll use to apply for the BEC NTS and then again for the FAR NTS (or if you chose to do BEC and FAR at the same time), but you shouldn't have to do transcripts and all of that again. If you were to fail an exam, that's also what you'd use to get a new NTS for the failed exam.
