Hi All,

The 2016 FAR Wiley test bank is available for $60 (orig 150). Should I purchase this if I plan to take the test in 2017 or wait for 2017 version? Will it be drastically updated? I want to save $ if I can. Thanks!

FAR is changing the least and GAAP is GAAP. The Wiley should still serve as a good tool for preparing for FAR.

Hmm. You can save even more money by just purchasing NINJA for $47. In my experience, NINJA TB > WTB.

Will the ninja TB be enough? I was planning to get Ninja's review notes.

This is FAR, no? Yes, NINJA MCQ will be enough. Though I will tell you. For NINJA and Roger's questions, I only did 25% of the SIMs. For FAR, I believe it is an exam where my time was better spent, understanding the concepts. Yes, you can hammer out the MCQs and do it until you can explain why EACH answer is wrong or right. But for SIMs, if you understand the material, the exam SIMs should not be difficult.

NINJA notes are to BUILT on the notes you have already been taking. I used Roger as my main course and I bought NINJA notes for FAR for some extra study. But I felt like I didn't need them since I took good notes on Roger. If you feel that you would benefit from NINJA notes, buy them.

To be completely honest. Both test banks are great. I would chose Wiley's test bank over any other test bank if Wiley is on sale. No offense to the Ninja MCQs. The only reason I say this is because the Ninja MCQ may only cost $47 but that's for 3 months if you fail or move your test back, you'll have to pay another $47. But with the Wiley Test Bank, it's $60 for one year. Just as CPA so far, so close said, Far isn't changing that much. It's the best option for your money. If the price for Wiley was $150, I would definitely say go with Ninja.
