Question about scheduling my first exam.

I am in Tennessee and am still working towards my 150 hours, however there is a 200 day exclusion here, which I should now be able to satisfy.

I went to cpacentral.nasba.org to register, however it is making me select my courses. I have an early plan on REG in late April/early May and AUD in late May with FAR and BEC in Q3.

Since the NTS is for 6 months, do I need to schedule all of them at first or can I just go ahead and schedule REG and do the others when I am ready?

Since my hours will still have to be approved, I don’t want my application being denied for some reason and having already paid for all of those tests.

    Thanks

You can schedule each test as you want to take it. You just save some fees if you schedule more than one at a time.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

EuroAddict is correct. ONLY apply for the exams you are planning to take within 6 months. With your schedule, sounds like you should go ahead and apply for REG & AUD on this NTS and stick the other two on the next one.

    Good luck on your journey!

Thanks for the responses. If something was to happen in my transcripts and a class not be accepted, therefore my application turned down, would I lose all of the fees paid for the tests to be taken?

By the way, I don't see a reason why the grades would be rejected, just some paranoia.

I would submit everything first before you decide to give them money.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

That is what I was wanting to do and there is a $170 registration fee, which I was sure of, but it is also making me pick at least one test to register for.
