I couldn’t find much online on this question. I passed all the exams but have not appied for licensure because I don’t have a year of accounting work experience. Is there anything that 8 need to do like Continuing Ed before fulfilling the work requirement and applying for licensure? I’m in NY

Literally the first question on the NYS Public Accountancy FAQ website:

1. Who is required to complete continuing education?

Licensed CPAs and PAs, performing any accounting, tax, financial or management advisory work in New York State, including work performed in private industry, government agencies, public accounting firms, not-for-profits, or an academia employer, are required to meet the continuing professional education requirements.
