I’ve been looking ahead on the seat availability tool at Prometric and noticed Q2 ends in May when it normally would but Q3 is extended into September and Q4 is extended into December? Or is not prometric center just booked for the extension of Q2?

Also, just as an aside, does this plan look like it gives me enough time to study for each section (including being a full-time grad student)

    AUD – May 10
REG or BEC – July 10
REG or BEC – Sept 08

They are not having the extra 10 days in Q2 of 2017. but they have announced that they are planning on continuing the 10 day extension in the future (not just related to the 2017 exam changes). I think they decided that they didn't need the full month off and more people could get their exams in with 10 more days in the 3rd month.

I don't know how being a full time grad student compares to working full time, but I think you have more than enough time. I work full time and I took 3-4 weeks for BEC, FAR, and REG and passed 3/3.

Oh, okay thank you for the clarification!

I don't think I'm smart enough for such short study times! I took longer for my first FAR round and failed, then I took about 5 weeks for AUD and failed it. Granted, I didn't have enough time for final review and I think that is key to me passing

Just keep your head up! It's not about “smart enough”. People just learn differently! 🙂

Yeah, it takes a while to get past a learning curve. This material and the way Wiley CPA EXCEL is laid out is different to learn than learning stuff in school. So I feel like I learn it while going through the prep, but I don't gather it all at the end in a sufficient manner.
