For this new position I’m interviewing for, I have to take the excel prove-it assessment. I think it is terrible because they don’t let you do things the way you want to do it. For instance I can’t use shortcuts. I also can’t look around for which tabs my answer will be in. I have to do it perfectly every time.

Is there a website that can help me with these prove it assessments?

Those assessments are practically useless. They are mostly given by Recruiting Agencies and are not really an accurate assessment of your Excel Skills. Not only that, those tests only allows you to use the Ribbons on the Excel Spreadsheet.

That's my point. But this particular employer actually wants our scores so I have to do it. Despite being an expert at excel i never score higher than 75. This is a common probelm. Whoever does these terrible exams have marketed themselves to people who don't know any better

Your best best is to just go through each Ribbons on Excel version your are using. I wouldn't spend money on a course. Plus there are thousands of videos on Youtube.

There isn't too much of a difference between 2010 and 2013. I'm still using 2007 and have used 2013 at local libraries. There are full Excel tutorials on Youtube for 2007, 2010, an 2013.

So I know this is wrong, but why can't you google the answers while you're taking the assessment? That's what I did. They asked me whether to take it at home or at the office, I chose home. Although, I was asked to take the assessment as a formality, the employer didn't require, the recruiting agency did -.-”

How did you google it? Just type in the exact question or something?
