NASBA/AICPA has released a rough draft for the new licensing process. On first blush I wasn’t overly optimistic about the proposed changes, but the more I chew on it the more I like it. It’s impossible for the exam content to keep up with the ever-growing demands of the profession… going this route allows for a balance of core competence + specialized knowledge.
“NASBA and the AICPA will continue to gather feedback on this proposed model, with a goal of finalizing an approach for the new model in the summer of 2020. Once a new model is approved, a multiyear effort will commence to implement the model.”
