Prometric Snow Closure

So I just checked the forecast for Saturday the 9th and we’re suppose to get pounded again with 6-8 inches of snow, heavy at times during the afternoon. I’m scheduled to test at 12:30pm on the 9th. I’m betting prometric will close the site. This will push me outside of this testing window, cause me to push back all my other tests and have approx 8 weeks of study for AUD instead of my planned 5. I hate MN. We’ve been getting pounded with snow. Literally every single snow fall has been a dumping of minimum 6 inches…

Does anyone think I should study a little more, then start studying for REG and take both tests in the next window? I work full-time and get 20 to 25 hrs of study in per week.

    Using Becker self-study
    FAR: (82) 175 hours - 1st attempt
    BEC: (XX)
    AUD: (69) 45hrs of study - 1st attempt
    REG: (XX)

Call them now and ask if there is any way you can come in a little earlier Saturday, or maybe they can squeeze you in Thur or Friday instead.
If you do get snowed out, then shoot for April 1st for AUD, and by June 10th for REG. You should always be targeting 2 tests per window.

Thanks Recked. I tried calling and one site never answers their phone, the other said we can't help you, you'll have to call NASBA. She said cancellations won't be confirmed until the day before the event. My original scheduling was: AUD on March 9th, Reg on Apr 20th and Far retake June 8th. I guess I'll just have to push out FAR into the next window which will be coming close to NTS expiration. Maybe I can get that NTS extended… This is cutting into my golfing season!

Hi, I wanted to bump this thread for a question I have.

It's supposed to snow 2 inches tomorrow (Friday) night and my exam is Saturday afternoon. Basically, the amount of snow my area may get would be enough to cause a 2 hour delay or maybe no school but I am hoping Prometric isn't that quick to close. For instance, most people in my area would still go to work that day with that forecast. My exam is the last day of the window (Prometric here is not opened on Sundays). I would hate to have my BEC exam delayed by 3 weeks.

Does anyone have experience with how prone Prometrics are to close for weather?

It might help to provide your state.
I could see the Carolinas or Georgia grinding to a halt over 2 inches, but the mid west or north east, I would assume would carry on as normal.
I don't have any experience to share that is helpful, but if you narrow down your state or general area of the country you might get more beneficial responses.
I think you will be fine. It doesn't hurt to call the local number and ask them as well.

I'm in Maryland. The amount of snow they are calling for isn't anything out of the ordinary but schools would usually at least have a delayed opening and maybe be closed.

It would be just my luck for my last exam to get snowed out lol. I'm thinking it will be fine but the pessimist in me says otherwise.
