Just took Audit. After completing the exam and the survey, there was an error. It showed me as “status incomplete” and they couldn’t fix it. They told me to call tomorrow.

Now I’m freaking out that the exam results won’t save or I won’t be able to get a score. Anyone else ever have an issue like this happen? I’m freaking out now! :/

The exam should save on its own, hopefully they have news for you tomorrow. I know that is stressful. Let us know. I know people on here have had issues with there exam and it usually ends with the exam being processed as expected.

    Thanks for the reply.

I felt like I did very well, so it really sucks. If I had to retake it I wouldn't be so upset if the 2nd quarter hadn't ended today. But the thought of having to retake it, and not only having to retake it, but having to wait until July has me in cold sweats. I don't remember ever being so mad!

I would bet it's ok. Drink a beer tonight and then call first thing in the morning so you can regain your sanity.

Yes I did get the attendance form. Candidate Care did get back to me this morning, telling me that they won't know until Monday. Prometric wasn't much help. Just gave me a ticket number and told me to contact the CPA.

I did call my local test center. They said the test completed overnight, but they couldn't give me any assurance on what results were sent in for grading. I guess I have to wait until Monday now!

Also @monikernc, I see you passed BEC with only the Ninja Book and MCQ. I ‘m about to start reading the book today. How would you say the book/MCQ prepared you for the exam? Did you feel comfortable during the exam?

first let me say out loud: I HATED BEC. oh that feels good.
i did use ninja book and mcq. heavily relied on mcqs. i took 12 weeks to prepare probably needed only 10 weeks. i am older and these concepts are repeat from my mba 25 years earlier. if you are better at retention you can probably prep much quicker. other essential resources were miles capital budgeting video – so good. about an hour and half but he starts in a yellow shirt then switches to a 20 minute review of PV concepts while wearing a blue shirt. you can skip that if you don't need it by advancing to when he is wearing the yellow shirt again. any miles BEC video is worth watching. i think he does a great job and they are free.
roger's variances videos and the chapter from my principles book. principles book for equivalent units, too.
some allen mursau videos on CVP – i struggled with those diagrams. he ties them back to variances which helped them all click better.
    googled some foreign exchange calculations.
the 2016 Q1 BEC group has so many of us just attacking those questions. make that thread a favorite in your profile and look through for help. we really wailed in that group.
    copious notes from mcq calcs.
ask for a handheld calculator for exam. i swear i lost time if not points using the computer based calculator.
leave an hour and 15 for WCs if you are a slow starter on writing – if not an hour is fine. know the different formats for each type of correspondence, write an intro, use keywords, BRIEF discussion, redundant humble close with appropriate signature type.
i also read a few ot these: https://www.coso.org/guidance.htm
my IT background helped but learning BEC style IT required me to believe in fairy tales sometimes. I just went with it rather than fight it.
short answer: mcqs provide so much info with responses to every question that reading through and completing all of them is great prep for exam. work through and understand the concepts. supplement with the other resources as needed.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely follow your lead. I am really comfortable with accounting topics. BEC is something brand new that I haven't looked over in years. I actually think it will be my toughest exam.

Just wanted to give an update for anyone who ends up getting this problem in the future. I ended up getting my score today… a couple days after everyone else did but at least I got a score. 85! So if this happens to anyone else in the future there is still hope for you!

    Good job!

When I took BEC earlier this month a power surge reset all the computers in the test center. I had 17 minutes left on the exam and was working on the written memo responses at the time. I was freaking out first that my time would expire while waiting for the Prometric staff to relog and relaunch everybody, then that my written responses would all be wiped out even if I had time remaining. Thankfully, neither were the case: Prometric's system constantly saves your test in the background just in case of those emergencies.
