Hi,

I’m in MA and there was a huge storm today. What happens if my test center won’t open tomorrow?

I would contact your state board of accountancy or NASBA. I have a test in a few weeks and when I called my state board of accountancy to find out what would happen in a similar situation to your current one, they told me to contact NASBA. Then when I contacted NASBA, they pointed me back to the board. The board finally came back with an answer and said that they would make appropriate decisions when an actual event happens.

Bottom line = Snow isn't your fault. Make sure you contact them to figure out the next steps.

We were affected in NY as well and I just found out my exam for tomorrow was cancelled and I have no idea what to do! I guess the best thing would be to call NASBA in the morning…?

Yup. Correct me if I am wrong but I think NASBA offices are in Nashville, TN which should be open tomorrow. Doesn't hurt to try calling/emailing your state board also.

I was able to reschedule. I got an automated call from Prometric.com letting me know I was free to use my section ID to make a new appointment. Thankfully there was an available seat for next Friday.
