April94ParticipantPrometric’s website states it will be closed through May 31. My exam was scheduled for May 16, but Prometric said they will email those with current appointments so we can re-schedule for free. Has anyone gotten their email yet? I have not.

BackwardsDuckParticipantIt's hard to be motivated to study when you don't even know the next time you'll be able to take the exam. Rescheduled for August but who knows what's going to happen at this point.

animalwithinParticipantFrom what I understand, there are Prometric centers open, while others are closed. Prometric being closed until May 31st is NOT standard for every location. I have AUD next week and they sent me an email this morning highlighting the sanitary requirements I have to take if I choose to still show up and to confirm that I'll be showing up.

lfranc8ParticipantFYI- If your testing in Louisiana the LA Board had this posted this am.
For all CPA Exam Candidates – Expiring Exam Credits due to Test Center Closures
All candidates with an open NTS and exam credits expiring through June 30, 2020 – and because of Prometric Test Center closures, the candidate may not be able to sit for the remaining parts by June 30, 2020 to pass all 4 parts of the exam – the Board will consider extension requests of those expiring exam credits on a case-by-case basis. After test centers have been reopened, please email the board at sitemaster@cpaboard.state.la.us with your information for review by the board.

AndreAParticipantFrom Prometric center. “We're emailing you to inform you that your upcoming test with Prometric for 5/5/20 is still confirmed.” I live in LA.

lfranc8Participant@AndreA I am in New Orleans Metro area and mine was canceled and I was supposed to sit on May 30. I got two emails letting me know it was canceled and to not show up on exam day. I have re scheduled for July 28. I am also looking at the possibility of taking the exam in Mississippi if its available.

chrissyParticipantGot an email from prometric confirming my appointment for June 26, Fort Lauderdale area.

PDiddy2000ParticipantMy FAR exam is scheduled for May 9. I haven't received an email confirming nor canceling my exam. Not sure how to continue to approach my studying at this point since the last prometric cancellation in early April was done a week before my scheduled time.

I don't know why it shows my signature in all caps. That is not how I have it set.

PDiddy2000ParticipantWell, it's official. I just got the dreaded COVID19 cancellation email from prometric. My May 9th exam is cancelled!!! I'm not even sure what to do right now, this is my second cancellation this month. Should I start looking for other dates or try different testing centers in other states? Is anyone in the Seattle or Portland area that has a test scheduled for May? Maybe I should fly down to Georgia and take it. They opened up tattoo parlors last week, surely prometric centers are open too, right? Ugh!!
@Vanquished I love your honesty! Everyone does stuff, especially career wise, they necessarily don't want to do but most don't have the ballz to actually admit it.April 30, 2020 at 4:10 pm #2990369
CH89Participant@PDIDDY2000 – That's a bummer, sorry to hear that! Have you checked for any availability in the following month?

I have yet to receive any sort of email or form of communication from Prometric. I'm not sure if this is a good sign, or their site isn't accurate, but the testing center I'm scheduled for isn't even listed as being closed on their website. I find this odd/alarming, especially given that this town the testing center is located in, isn't doing so well with regards to COVID-19 in Pa. It looks like it's not even listed as being open either, as of today. Also, more information from NASBA, can be found here, updated as of today:April 30, 2020 at 5:19 pm #2990444
PDiddy2000Participant@CH89 I checked the first few weeks in June and no openings so far. At this point, I'm really hesitant to even schedule an exam. It seems like people aren't seeing openings until July – August timeframe. I really wanted to have my summer free of studying for an exam. I studied for BEC last summer and it was not the most exciting thing to do.
One thing that isn't promising is that my email said the prometric center is closed. It's not even open and following the social distancing guidelines, just completely closed. The governor hasn't even extended the stay-at-home order past April. I'm not sure what guidelines they are following as of this point. I guess I'll be in perpetual study mode until prometric determines whose guidelines they are going to follow.
April 30, 2020 at 6:01 pm #2990504
CH89Participant@PDiddy2000 – Yeah, it is definitely a rough spot to be in. I guess we really just have to be patient with all of this, and see how things turn out. It sucks that we might miss out on an entire testing window, and similarly I was looking to get through my last exam as well and enjoy the summer.

Given the extra time we may be receiving, has anyone adopted new studying methods? I'm actually re-writing the Ninja notes along with re-writing my own notes too.May 1, 2020 at 2:02 am #2990894
TNTTNParticipantMy May 1 exam got canceled this morning too which is the 2nd time already due to COVID-19. I was able to reschedule it on May 3 but I'm gonna have high hopes. Last time they also canceled my exam 1 day prior.

I got cancelled during the first wave (I'm in Florida so we are opening most things on Monday at 50% capacity or less with social distancing required) but I was able to reschedule for 3 days later at another local-ish test center, but if they're still sending out cancellation emails I don't have high hopes.
I've sent 3 emails now requesting confirmation (granted two were from my old test that 100% did get cancelled) and heard nothing back.
