April94ParticipantPrometric’s website states it will be closed through May 31. My exam was scheduled for May 16, but Prometric said they will email those with current appointments so we can re-schedule for free. Has anyone gotten their email yet? I have not.

VanquishedParticipantI have yet to receive an email, but I normally don't get any sort of confirmation anyways regarding my exam, but it still does say scheduled. I hope I'm able to take it in May. The availability for next couple of month is joke. Either there isn't any, or I have to drive 3-4 hours to the next closest testing center. I'll be a bit annoyed if I can't test at all during this window.
Of course it's a joke. Everyone who had their March-April exam canceled has already rescheduled and assuming they don't cancel June we'll be running into people who already had theirs scheduled from before. There is no way that this doesn't screw over a HUGE number of people if Prometric doesn't add capacity. Let's not forget that right now, the majority of exams are not even allowed to be held in May, from what I can tell it's just CPA and something called USME that were deemed essential. If they can't find social distancing space for us with only a handful of exams being taken…
I live in Florida which will end the lockdown on April 30th (as of now) so if I'm getting canceled, people in the north east might as well take a vacation for the next year because you definitely aren't taking it any time soon. >:(

CH89ParticipantIt's just frustrating for everyone. I have a credit expiring in October, and I just have AUD left. I'm in Pennsylvania, and it looks like anyone who has a credit expiring during this emergency is getting an extension for however long this emergency is, plus 180 days! Is it wrong that I feel, almost entitled, to having a credit extension?

BackwardsDuckParticipantThis is an absolute disaster
April 27, 2020 at 12:50 pm #2987885
etg1991ParticipantI saw in another post that the State of New Hampshire waived the requirement to pass all exams in 18 months to its candidates, meaning, anyone with an exam passed before March 17, will automatically get an 120 day extension for each section, not just the one expiring next. Where's Florida in this? Why are they always the last to communicate anything? Ugh! I also got a cancellation email from Prometric today but my exam still says ‘scheduled' and there's no availability until August in 100 mile radius.

chrissyParticipantGot the cancelled email from Prometric as well but when I checked my appointment, it is still saying Schedule for June 26,2020. Not sure what is happening.

BackwardsDuckParticipantRescheduled to August 1st but now seeing openings at the beginning of May…are those trustworthy? Someone mentioned it may be because people are rescheduling and the availability tool hasn't updated with the 50% capacity rule. This is just a mess on a whole new level.

My location has had availability for the same date and time as my current test. I checked right after I got the email this morning so I don't know. Also still says scheduled.

Katt PhamParticipant@Chrissy, your appointment on June also got cancelled. That makes me doubt. Prometric states that it will reopen after May 31, so yours should not be cancelled. It's a mess.

BackwardsDuckParticipantI just got linked to a comment in the NASBA group on Facebook saying a representative from Prometric said all exams in May are going to be cancelled despite the CPA exam being deemed “essential”. This is not coming from NASBA though so who knows what will happen.

KristiParticipantHi everyone,
Just wanted to share what has been going on with me this morning in case it can help someone in some way a bit. I was scheduled to take my exam in Sacramento on May 31st at 12:30pm. Like a lot of you, I also got an email saying my exam was cancelled due to social distancing. The Prometric site was very slow for me as well and when I tried to look at dates to reschedule, I had a loading screen for about 45 minutes. I left it up and it finally went through, so if you're trying this, don't exit out of it and hopefully it will EVENTUALLY work. I was able to reschedule my exam for the same day a half hour later and got an email confirmation that it was scheduled (I was surprised by this, especially because when I looked at last week potential dates just in case, there was nothing through the whole summer). The problem is, I have my doubts this exam will be cancelled.
Also, if anyone has input on this, let me know: Has anyone had any luck with contacting the state board about extensions for expiring credit? I have Audit expiring on June 8th and this exam in May is supposed to be my last one. My state board isn't taking calls and I've had a little luck over Facebook messenger but I don't like using this method, has anyone used any other method?
Has anyone had any luck contacting Prometric? I haven't been able to call them or get their “contact” page to work where I type up a message.Good luck everyone, I am stressed out to the max and I'm sure if you are checking this thread, you are too.

KristiParticipantI meant to say on the above that I didn't pay a fee to reschedule, for anyone who was worried about that.

animalwithinParticipantThis is odd, I received an email last week saying they are open starting May 1. Perhaps it based on different counties/states?

KrupaParticipantAny update, from San Jose centers?
April 27, 2020 at 7:20 pm #2988245
lifofifoParticipant@krupa I'm in San Jose, CA area too. I booked FAR for 5/4 for the 1st Street Prometric location, but decided to push back my exam to 5/8. I was able to rescheduled to 5/8 last week. As of right now, SCC said they are extended SIP until end of May.
Not sure if Prometric will still allow us “essential” test-takers to test. I also have BEC for June 10 but we'll see how that goes.
These are my last 2 exams and my credit for my 1st exam expires 10/2020.
I sent a credit extension request 5 weeks ago to CBA and still the same response when I follow up: they are simply working on it and it will take longer than the 30 days processing time. Hope this helps.April 27, 2020 at 7:22 pm #2988248
SerenityNowParticipantI live in Northwest Louisiana and the local center keeps cancelling my test dates so I may just drive to Texas to take it since they are opening back up.
