Hello everyone, what do you recommend when you have a scheduled exam in five days, while a hurricane will most likely close your scheduled Prometric testing center?

I am in Miami, FL and the current forecast says there will be a category three hurricane from Saturday-Monday. I feel like the BEC disaster recovery plan did not prepare us well enough haha. Thankfully, I found the following link from Prometric that has official closures.

Again, what do you recommend to do in this situation?

Reschedule and email prometric for a refund for the fee since it's not your fault.

    FAR - 78*
    AUD - 66, 79
    REG - 73, 76
    BEC - 79

I am in the same area and have my exam scheduled for Sept. 9, I'm worried about losing internet and power this close to the exam. When Irma came I did not have internet for over a week. Hopefully this thing turns north and out to sea and doesn't mess with your test.

I have test scheduled for Saturday however I have to reschedule because I need to help my family prepare. My NTS is only good thru 9/19. I went on the site to reschedule saw an opening for 9/9. But also saw a rescheduling fee so I called and they told me because the testing center hasn’t announced it was closing they would not waive the fee. I could wait for Saturday and see if they close. I went back on the site and 9/9 was taken and I was forced to 9/6. I didn’t want to chance taking 9/3 just in case there is serious damage. Also if I want any longer there is strong possibility on appointments would be available between now and 9/10. Can’t schedule after because I’m going to be out of town for my job.

Ridiculous, guess state of emergency means nothing to Prometric.

I would call the center and get them to confirm whether they would be open or not. There should be a reasonable period of notice for this, same day is not acceptable.

Looks like they are already closing centers in the Miami area and the storm hasn't even approached. If the testing centers are closed around the last couple days of testing in this window, will NASBA allow for an extended window?

    Prometric Site Closings

I'm kind of pissed that I am scheduled to take an exam tomorrow when I'm still trying to get my family and home prepared for this hurricane. Miami and Ft Lauderdale are closed, but West Palm Beach is open. Oh well, I guess I'll just take FAR again later.
