I got an automated call from prometric just now canceling my FAR exam scheduled for tomorrow due to inclement weather. FAR is my LAST section and my REG credit expires on THIS WEDNESDAY. I just had a complete meltdown and there is no way to talk to anyone from NASBA or Prometric until tomorrow morning. Supposedly they will call to reschedule within 24 hours and I can’t reschedule to a different testing center on their website right now because of the no cancellation/rescheduling within 24 hour rules and the status of my appointment on the website is still “Scheduled”.

Please someone give me some hope that there will be a way to take this exam without losing my REG credit. PLEASE!!!

All you can do is call tomorrow. If you have until Wednesday then you need to take the exam by then and if it means you need to go to a different city or county you should do just that. Do whatever you can to schedule an exam by Wednesday. GL!

So they sent out the rescheduling email and I was able to schedule it for a center near me Tuesday morning. Based on the NASBA FAQs, that is the last day I can take it before REG expires. They sent out an additional email with all the prometrics closed for tomorrow and its essentially all of them within a 150 mile radius due to a snow storm. This storm is supposed to get worse tomorrow night through Tuesday morning so I am worried my re-scheduled exam will be canceled too. Will NASA give me an extension for this? I am terribly worried.

Seems like they should grant you a waiver since it is out of your control. I would be surprised if they did not given the circumstances. But you never know so I’d still do whatever it takes to schedule it before the date just in case, even if you have to travel to do so. For now, it seems like you have an option so all you can do is call them tomorrow to get more information. Don’t let this stress you out and derail your final cram sessions.

WORST case scenario – you lose your credit…it will seem like the end of the world – but it's not. I lost FAR (the worst section to lose) after getting the worse score (74) back-to-back.

I hated life. I survived. You will too IF that happens. Hope that de-stresses you a little 🙂
