I know this is going to sound weird, but I am having a hard time passing the MCQ relating to math problems. I completely nail the conceptual questions.

Is there help for me or should I just gracefully bow out?

The conceptual problems are usually the easier ones. It is very natural to do terribly on the calculation based questions when you first get to them. There are some where I outright feel like the lecture didn't prepare me for the questions at all.

The MCQ are half the battle of understanding the material. Do the questions, get some wrong, go “oh that's how you do it!” and learn.
