I just found out that I have to take REG again (I did a poor job of studying..:/).

Are REG and FAR doable in one quarter, with about 6 weeks of study each??? I REALLY need to pass this whole exam by end of 2016! I was thinking of upgrading to 10 point combo to do so.

If I start studying again next week, I’m thinking REG Oct 23rd, then start studying FAR and take Dec 10th.

    Thought?!

TXCPAGAL12: Everyone's different, I personally have only taken and passed one exam, FAR. I studied 50 hours a week for 2 months and still felt like I failed. But no one can tell you if you can or not, but I know for a fact there are those individuals out there that have accomplished that. Whichever study material you are using for preparation, I'm sure there must be a template provided where you can create your own study plan, like “OK, if I put in 5-7 days a week studying, 40-80 hours a week preparation, I should be ready to take the exam on this date. Good luck

Yes, it's possible, and you seem to be giving yourself plenty of time to study for each exam.

    BEC - 85
    AUD - 81
    REG - 84
    FAR - 7/24/16

if you put in about 25-30 hours a week, and use the 10 point combo for both, i would say its definitely do able. if you use becker or any other study material, i would say its less doable because their material isn't as concise as ninja. just my 10 cents.

Definitely possible. I took AUD (first try) in late Oct. and retook FAR in late Nov. last year. I passed both. I worked full-time plus looked for a new job. If I did it, you could definitely do it. Good luck.

    FAR 72,67,79 (Roger+Wiley test bank)11/15
    AUD 80 (Roger)10/15
    BEC 80 (Roger)4/16
    REG 63,78 (Roger+Ninja MCQs)5/16

I would say 4 weeks REG and 8 weeks Far. Definitely possible!

I'm looking to do the same with a REG retake in the cards! May as well give it a shot so we have another window as backup before the exam changes. Good luck!

I tried that and failed both. Did really shitty in FAR, first attempt, studying from June 1 and Sat Aug 6 and got a 52. Then switched to back to Reg from Aug 7 to Aug 27 for my 3rd attempt and got a 74 (55 in Feb, 69 in May). Now I really feel like shit. Like someone said above, everyone is different, but It didn't work for me at all. Then squeezed BEC in like an idiot on 9/8 (71 in May/score pending). I was really brain dead when I sat for BEC and still feel that way. I really want to be done before the changes as well, but rushing is doing more harm than good. I'm stubborn though and will probably try at least 2 again this window.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

    Thanks all for the feedback!

    @ultrarunner
Great job on the double pass! What study material did you use and how comfortable did you feel with be FAR stuff before studying?? It will be my first go at it in Dec so a little nervous… but I feel like Ninja can prepare me.

Sorry to hear that @mtaylo24. Best of luck with the retakes in 4Q, we will both be battling this thing together!

I just passed BEC and REG within 7 weeks so I think it can be done, but it might not be easy. REG and FAR are the 2 tests that required the most study time for me. REG and BEC was a bit easier in my opinion. But with REG being a retake you can likely cut the study time down to a few weeks. Totally doable if you're able and willing to put in the work.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

I'm doing the same thing, taking REG on October 17th and FAR on December 8th. We've got this!

Also I'm using Becker and I think getting through their material in that amount of time is totally doable.

@bhunt – thanks for the encouragement!

@allison213 – Awesome! Are you working full time as well? I'm trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to fit all that studying in working FT.. but people do it ALL the time so I know I can too. Its gonna suck, and I'm going to have to pretty much only study outside of work, but short term sacrifice for a long term reward I suppose.

I'm retaking BEC on 10/3 and taking REG on 11/26, the last day on my NTS. Backed myself into a corner by failing BEC again and was hoping I'd be starting to study for REG this week. Plan on taking off Thanksgiving week to cram as much as possible. Things never seem to work out like I had hoped with these exams lol.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

@TXCPAGAL12 This last half a year has been hell for me, nothing but work and study. I cut off social life, tv, videogames and family. My life was not too different from the life of a robot, but if I pass REG this time around, I would have knocked FAR and REG in one testing window. It is possible to pass both FAR and REG in one testing window, specially if REG is a retake, but once you have to start studying for FAR, you cant waste a single second.

Call me crazy but I'm studying for both now. I always have to do things the hard way, but I need to keep both sets of material fresh, I forget way too much when I put a section down. I haven't touched FAR since early August and its already foreign again. I've been switching sections after each Gleim chapter. Still haven't decided on dates yet, probably in November.

    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Hi @mtaylo24, I do not have a whole picture of how this test is treating you, but from the posts I have read from you, I can only give you one humble advice. If gleim is not working for you, do not feel afraid to ditch it. I am ready to drop my Wiley CPA cram course anytime if it fails me even once, and trust me that I paid an effty price for it. You have to mix things up a little during your retake in order to keep yourself motivated just as if it were your first time. I have heard good things about Ninja plus videos, and they seem very affordable, you might want to do some due diligence on that. Part of many things in life are solved just by simply identifying the problem and adjusting, and I think right now you have a problem. And one last thing, do not listen to the people who tell you that you only need a 75. Shot for a 90 and plus during your studies, and if you get a 75 then at least you can be happy that you passed the test.
I can't wish you nothing but the best my fellow candidate, and I hope everything goes well.
