Are there any of you out there that have done well on the SIMS without using AL? (outside of the research question of course)

I keep seeing post about how people find the answer to some SIMS word for word in the AL and those are mainly people I see passing AUD with high scores. I never use the AL for my SIMS and I often struggle. Has anyone not used AL for SIMS and still passed?

I was unaware you could use it for anything other than the AL. I only used it for the AL and passed Aud.

I didn't use the AL for FAR (other than research) and passed on my first attempt..

I am one those people who found a SIM WORD for WORD. It helps to learn how to navigate through the AL. I used the AL on 5/7 SIMs. Not just because I didn't know how to answer my SIMs, but I also found relevant information that triggered my memory enough that I was able to answer the sim better.

I'll know my score tmw but if I did pass, AL helped a LOT..

You don't have to use it… But why wouldn't you?

Even if I went through an exam and felt like I knew all the sims (never happened!) assuming I had any time at the end I'd open up the AL and double-check myself / make sure I didn't miss a little detail.

You can't completely rely on the AL — and you have to be careful not to waste too much time looking through it (sometimes the scenario you want to find isn't in there, in which case you have to come to terms with that and just give the SIM your best shot) but if you have a strong baseline understanding of the material it'll only help
