Please see this link below. This is continuance of that thread.

As you can see, many people did not believe me when I said the exam was unfair. Well, that’s fine. I scheduled my 2nd attempt for February 1st and didn’t bother to review (actually I went to Japan for 2 weeks in January) until 5 days before the test.

I thought about moving it back but I figured it’d do me more hard than good (busy season right now) so I just went with it.

Guess what? The 2nd exam was super easy and I finished it in 2 hours. I am not wanting to brag but I told you so. People heckled me for not studying enough but I did study enough. The fault was in the structure of the CPA exams. If too many people pass it, CPA loses its prestigious.

So for those that came close, I feel your pain. I can actually sympathize with you but hold heart in knowing you can pass by keeping at it. That’s the only way.

    Drop the mic!

I'm not gonna lie, I have only passed in Windows where public accounting is in busy season. Q1 and Q3. Does make you wonder that I pass when less people are taking it and seem to fail with similar effort given when more people are taking it.

For example, I took REG in November and failed after a month of studying with a 73. I retook in January with 2 weeks for studying and passed with an 80 and I felt my sims were harder on the one in January but did 6 points better?

    Hmmm..,

    F AR - 76
    B EC - 82
    A UD - 77 (lost credit)/Retake 2/25
    R EG - 80

Definitely luck of the draw … and you got extremely lucky. I don't know if I can say my AUD retake was easier, but I feel that my FAR retake was (and I still failed, kicking myself!).

Studying does move luck in your favor though … it eliminates the amount of stuff that can cause you to fail.

Hmm reading this gives me some hope about passing FAR next Monday then. I was going to postpone until Q2, but got a wild hair and decided to try to tackle the beast in 3 weeks of studying. Here's hoping I go up against a bunch of bleary-eyed tax people. 🙂

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

@jdn9201 – if money isn't that much of an issue you should def take advantage of this testing window – even if it's just practice. who knows you might pass! if not, you were considering taking it in Q2 anyways.

    BEC - 75 (3x)
    AUD - 78 (3x)
    REG - 67, 66, Aug 1
    FAR - 54, Sept 8

No offense but reading that other thread made it look like most people were actually agreeing with you. So you're saying that in some windows the exam is easier than others? Nobody disputed that. You're saying that when you asked for advice you were given some advice that was and some that was not appropriate for you personally? Yeah, thats the internet for you.

No need to dredge that up for your humblebrag, congratulations on your pass and especially on being done.
