Can someone please try to help!?
I graduated with a BBA in December and have been studying since then. I have passed two parts thus far. I do not have any internship/accounting experience but I have been actively applying for jobs all over my area and beyond, year round. Either nobody responds or I get the, “your not the kind of candidate for us at the moment.” I even went to my school’s “meet the firms” and NOBODY is checking into me! Idk what to do! Can anyone try to help?

I couldn't find a job for a year. I put my resume on Indeed, put CPA candidate, passed one section and I started getting recruiter emails. Ultimately I applied for a job on Indeed (found on my own) and within a month was working full-time. I think it is the best site for job seekers.

Are you tweaking your resume for every position you apply to stressing your qualities that fit well with that particular position? Even fast food experience can translate to experience if framed correctly like having 100% accuracy on your register or great customer service. An accounting job isn't likely to care that you made the best fries. But each time you turn in a resume it should include key words from that job listing. Also before you interview are you studying the company you're applying to and asking and answering questions that show you've put in the time to do your homework?

I just registered for my state CPA societies and also AICPA membership. In my opinion accounting career fairs will help a lot because you get to meet HR, firm Managers and Seniors etc and you get their personal contact info so you can follow up with them. I am hoping this helps me out next year.
