I just passed all four parts of the CPA Exam, and now I am wondering what is next on my journey to becoming a licensed CPA. I have heard there is an ethics exam and there is a requirement of one year of accounting experience. Can someone walk me through the process to getting my CPA license? FYI I am a Missouri candidate.

I just passed my last exam, and I found that the online resources regarding specific state requirements can be rather unreliable and inconsistent. I spent part of my morning convinced that I had to take the ethics exam just to finally find that it's not the case. If you don't know any other recent CPAs in your state that you can ask, I would just call or email your state board and ask them what you need to do.

    FAR - 74 (7/20/15), 81 (10/12/15)
    AUD - 72 (11/30/15), 81 (1/18/16)
    BEC - 87 (6/6/16)
    REG - 8/8/16

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! I say celebrate first, worry about whatever the state wants after you finish celebrating. Then call the state and ask them. Those things change frequently enough that if you don't know someone that's been through the process in your state in the last 12 months, you're probably better off to call the state board.

    B - 11/11/16
    A - 4/16/16 87!!
    R - 2/17/17
    F - 7/26/16 - Waiting for 8/23
