Passed All 4 Parts – When can I take the Ethics Exam?

I just passed the last part of the exam after a long 4 years. Does the board let you know when you can sit for the Ethics exam via email? Do I need to wait until they verify I’ve passed all 4 parts? Also, is there a maximum number of times you can take the ethics exam?

    Thanks.

The answers to your questions are going to vary state by state. You might want to mention the state but in most cases you can take the ethics part before you even finish the CPA exams no need to wait for anything.

I'm not aware of any rules in VA regarding when you can take Ethics. I knocked out the course as I waited for my final grade, but technically didn't take the exam until the day after I got my final score which was last week. I applied for my license and sent the AICPA certificate and experience verification over the weekend, so hopefully I don't hear any bad news about that soon. Mary and Jennifer at the VBOA are very helpful too, I'd just reach out to them and ask.

I did the same thing as MLove08, unfortunately it wasn't my “final” score. But the point is, you should be able to take ethics whenever you want.

    FAR - 80
    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

    ETHICS - 90
    EXPERIENCE - COMPLETE
