On to AUD – For those who have passed…

For FAR, the key for me (and most people on this forum) seems to be to know the journal entries in and out. What is the key for AUD? FYI I have zero audit experience. What course and strategy do you recommend for this part?

    Thanks!

if you passed FAR already the SIMS should not be an issue for AUD. As skynet mentioned really do need to know the assertions and opinions.

Ditto Skynet…I would also add know the audit cycle. It helped me to understand each piece when I remembered how it fit in with the whole audit process. Audit reports were my #1 pet peeve…I still never got them fully, but reading multiple examples of each type helped me to visualize what goes where. Good luck!

Don't worry too much about learning any of the equations for SIMS. My test gave me most of the ones that I needed and the rest were fairly easy to figure out with a bit of thought. Internal control mastery is a must and you need to know the differences between the regulations regarding issuers vs. nonissuers inside and out.

    BEC - 81
    AUD - 79
REG - June 2016 (Thanks Nasba!)
    FAR - ugh
