I know the rule is you need proof with your request but I I read a few old posts that people have been able to do a one time NTS extension without giving a valid reason.

Anyone still active on the site who has done this before? Can you please tell me how you did it? I am in NY, I’ve tried calling and emailing and they all say proof is required so I am curious how others have done it. Its frustrating because I can’t even apply for a new NTS until this one expires at the end of the month.

If they are telling you that you need proof I am not sure how you will be able to get around that. However, you just never know.

You can call and have them cancel your current NTS and then you will be able to get a new NTS. I have seen posts about that on the forum.

I am one of those that had an NTS extended. Mine was due to having ACL surgery and I had to submit paperwork from my surgeon before they could extend it for me.
