I am studying now for FAR with Becker. I am aiming to schedule by the end of February. I was issued my NTS on November 24th, 2018. I was wondering if anyone knew when my NTS would expire by. The only thing I could find online about it was that an NTS is usually good for six months. I registered with NY and I was wondering if it depended on jurisdiction. I would appreciate any help!

The expiration date is listed on your NTS under the Latest Date you can take your exam column.
My BEC/REG NTS had the following dates 12/19/17 to 6/19/18, confirming a 6 month window for NY.
12/19/17 is the date I applied for the BEC/REG NTS when I received passing FAR and AUD scores.

Depends on the application type and state you are applying to. Candidates who complete a first time application for most states will not have their NTS start date be until they are found eligible. Re-exam applications the NTS start date is within 72 hours from when you apply. Texas candidates have an NTS start date that is the same as the date the sign their letter of intent… the dates listed on the payment coupon also reflect the NTS. You could have a coupon thats valid for 1/1/19 through 4/1/19 and if you pay the coupon on 3/1/19 then you only have until 3/10/19 to take the exam section since that is when the NTS would expire (assuming April 1st is not a test date.)
