    Hello guys!!

So, I am a little confused and I would really appreciate any clarification regarding this NTS date. So, I received an NTS today that says that the earliest I can take the exams (all FOUR since I paid the $773 all at once) is 01/31/2017 so today. But it says the LATEST I can take the exam for again ALL four parts is 01/31/2018. So this is only one year. So, does that mean if I do not take the exams within a year, the NTS expires and I need to Reapply and thus pay the fees again? So, the whole point of paying for all four parts was to NOT pay the app fee each time, but this defeats the purpose then?

    Thanks a lot!!!

Thats correct (and you're very lucky a NTS is good for a year in your state, most are 6 mos). If you don't use them they will indeed expire which is why most advise against registering for all 4 at once.

That said, a year works out to one exam per testing window and is not only manageable but would be unwise not to take one per window.

Hmn…So let's look at the worse case scenario. So, my first exam is scheduled for March 2nd 2017, so theoretically, I have until Sept 2018 to complete ALL? If I can't pass all four parts within Jan 2018, the only downfall is that I pay the 193+ the app fees for each exam? Is that right?

If you pass, the credit is good for 18 months from the exam date. Also, if you fail, you could register again for that part after 5 days (I think) of receiving your score.

One caveat to your statement, the NTS will “expire” for all practical purposes on the day its used, so if it says its valid through 1/31/18 and you take the exam 3/17, you need to repay to take that section again regardless.
