I have been completely consumed by my BEC exam since I took it. I am freaking out because the two times I have passed, the testlets went medium-hard-medium. Yesterday’s BEC exam went medium-medium-hard. To be completely truthful, I didn’t think the exam was difficult at all (especially compared to my Audit retake, I mean wow) and the fact that I thought it wasn’t too bad is scaring the sh*t out of me. I do not have a good record when I feel the exams aren’t that difficult, and yesterday’s exam was not the same caliber of difficulty that I had on the exams where I passed FAR and AUD. This is all such a mind-f*ck and I know I’m just in my own head and no matter what I think, the score will just be what it is. I think I just needed to vent and would love to hear any feedback that anyone has.

i hear ya. i took it saturday and it really hasn't registered with me yet. not even sure. i will wait till i see a score. i summed it up in another post that i don't feel like i have any skin in the game this time. i do, of course, but this feels diffferent. i want to pass but a fail or pass will not surprise me. i have no clue what spell they have cast on me but this wait is much easier than aud and more like far. i am thankful the wait is not too long.

try not to stress. you will know when you know and can decide your next move then. if we have to retake it we will be in the same boat. i will retake as soon as possible so i can move onto reg and get that done by end of may.

I am on the same boat here. The exam was weird and not that hard. The degree of difficultness was nothing like my other tests and that worries me too.

Same here, i thought my exam was a breeze – like ridiculously easy. It was mostly IT questions, which I find easy and little calculations. Usually when I think that I have failed so I don't know what to think. This is my last part so I'm going kinda crazy thinking about it.

So i also took it yesterday, i had 1st easy 2nd medium 3rd medium, the 3 written were easy topics. The entire test consisted of Coso, IT, and financial ratios, not going to get into more specifics as not to disclose anything. But im in the same boat as everyone else, the test did not seem hard. But i contribute this to two things, first i used Beckers, and boy was Beckers hard. Second the topics i excelled at were coso, it, financial ratios, models, etc, the topics i struggled with were, cost accounting, economics, and all the hedging stuff. Well to my luck i didnt see much or anything at all of the topics i struggled with. Additionally remember that they need to stick to some sort of average, maybe the average was low, all speculations as we are all aware. Agree disagree??

I actually thought this exam was harder than the FAR exam. I ended up passing FAR with an 86 after I felt fairly sure that I failed, so I don't know how to feel about this one. It's the IT questions that I feel like come out of nowhere. I could have studied for another month, but I don't know that it would make any difference. Some of these IT questions cover topics of things I have never even heard about in the review course or the Ninja test bank. I feel like this is just such a broad area that the AICPA really pushes on candidates.

I actually would have preferred more cost accounting, financial management, and economics than COSO and IT. This is what makes me fear the AUD exam.

I am curious, is there a certain number of questions that are pretest? And if yes, does anyone know the number? I think it should be obvious by my questions, I am new to all of this. 🙂

Yes, 12 are pretest on BEC.
