New test version

I took FAR today (first time under the new test version). I couldn’t believe how terrible it was. I had to click multiple times on the answer I wanted in order for the answer to be selected and I also noticed that when I clicked the right arrow button to move on to the next MCQ, it skipped over the next number and brought me to the following number. If I didn’t go back and check that all questions in the set of 33 were answered, I would have missed answering questions! I also noticed the excel was very hard to open. For example, I would click excel and it would open/close.. after three rounds of this happening it would finally open and stay open.

    Anyone have issues like this?

Also- during my 2nd or 3rd set of SIMs, I got an error message and had to call the prometric guy over. He reboot my computer and my SIM was brought back. I checked and all of my answers and time remaining was ‘brought back to life’. I’m not worrying about this too much since all looked well, but did this happen to anyone?

    AUD- 74 (2012), 72 (4/20/16)
    BED- 7/6/16
    REG- TBD
    FAR- TBD

I'm taking FAR under the new system on Sunday and I hope all goes well. When I took REG in the 3rd quarter 17 I did experience some of the same issues as you, not the skipping of MCQs, just general buggyness and my computer froze having to be restarted. I passed though, so all is well.

@JLP so sorry that happened to you. Sounds like your Prometric site had issues. I study using Becker and they use the exact same format/version as the actual. This prepared me a lot and it felt like taking a mock exam with Becker. Never any problems during the two tests I took so far at my Prometric. Hopefully the next time you get a better computer or something.

Yes, this sounds like a Prometric testing center issue. I've taken 2 exams this quarter with the new updated testing software and haven't had any issues like that.

I didn't have any issues with the software, but my keyboard would not type in numbers. I was so worried I would miss the time limit to enter in the launch code since I usually use a lot of that time to vomit out my notes. Luckily the Prometric person knew how to fix it. So pro tip always type in the launch code first then wait to enter it if you use that time.

    Hi –

I did not have any issues like that. That seems very buggy. Did you think to report to Candidate Care? I wouldn't call that a normal experience.
