I have passed the other 3 and am having trouble with FAR. The first time I took FAR I didn’t have time to get through all the study material and knew I probably wouldn’t pass, but could have gotten lucky. I got about what I expected after taking the test, a 62.

I took it again this past Jan and thought I was doing well. I’ve passed the other 3 and was within 2 points of what I thought I had scored on all my attempts. When I got finished, the Prometric computer never gave me the “we are printing your confirmation of attendance” screen, instead it asked me to save an Excel file. Long story short, after 40 minutes with the Prometric people on the phone with their IT support I got a business card with an IT help desk ticket number on it instead of the notarized confirmation of attendance. Part of the conversation was the IT people could see a CPA exam saved at 3:04 PM. I didn’t finish until 3:47 PM.

I sent emails and left phone messages at all the places I could think of. After a few days I got an email that said my test had been recovered and all 4 testlets had been opened and would be graded with standard scoring. I never received any kind of assurance that they recovered my final test. I got another 62.

    That was pretty discouraging.

I decided to go through all of my study material from the beginning and take it in mid-late May. I’m pretty discouraged, but am trying to just keep on pressing on.

It is an unfortunate situation. Maybe they found all 4 testlets, but only up to 3:04PM. If I were you, I would try to contact the upper level in your state board and ask for a thorough investigation.

I did everything I possibly could. Partners at my firm called the AICPA, etc. bottom line is I'm going to have to retake it.

I am new here as well and could use a bit of encouragement. I have failed AUD twice and took a swing at FAR yesterday and I'm almost positive I struck out. I now have to wait almost a month to get my score back while deciding what to do next. Retake AUD or prepare for FAR again. I just feel like there is so much material for everything how will I ever remember enough to pass?

I am sorry to hear about the problems you had with prometric. The girl next to me yesterday had an error during her test (I am not sure what kind of test she was taking though). I had a heart attack for her. It's a stressful day as it is. The least they can do is have the test go smoothly.
